Wealth Files

August 12, 2010

We all carry around the programming of our youth. The beliefs we hold about money have been shaped through the years by our parents, our friends, our society, our religious leaders… and some of them are not exactly conducive to building wealth. How many people believe that you have to work hard for your money? How many believe that wealthy people are somehow selfish, or rude, or greedy? How many people believe that you can only get rich by taking advantage of others? What if all of these stories that we tell ourselves just aren’t true? Read more…

One of those days

August 5, 2010

I woke up and my partner was having a garage sale in our front yard. He had parked my car to the side of the house. I went on with my morning, until it was time for me to leave for a doctor appointment. I went out to my car, and it wouldn’t start! So, I canceled my appointment, called AAA who promptly came down and started the car. We tested it to see if it would start without a jump, and it would, so the AAA mechanic went on his way and I went back into the house to await my next two appointments with a client and a vendor. Law of Attraction at Work

July 24, 2010

Last week, I had mentioned to Avery that we needed to buy some more cat food, because we were almost out. On Sunday morning, I had given the cats the last of the bag we had, and had thought to myself that I would buy some on the way home from showing houses.

Before I got home, I got a phone call from Avery that someone had just dropped off a 20 pound bag of cat food and some kitty litter at our house! I thought he was kidding and told him so. He said, “No, really! We just got free cat food!” Read more…

One Step at a Time

July 15, 2010

This morning, after being out at a seminar last night until almost midnight, I had a 9:00 am meeting scheduled with someone. It’s hot and humid in Phoenix at this time of year, and I woke up with a headache, probably at least in part due to the weather and partly due to lack of sleep. I didn’t want to go to the meeting, but I knew that if I went, it could mean an amazing opportunity. And if I didn’t go, I’d never know what I may have missed. Read more…

Good Question!

July 10, 2010

I’m always looking for better ways to market myself, my services, and my products. In one of the recent seminars I attended, I was given some questions* to think about. I found them amazingly valuable, and so I felt that it would be just as valuable to post them here, both for myself, and for you, my audience, to ponder and grow.

The first question is, “What business are you in?” The idea isn’t to answer with your title. It’s to say what you really do. For example, if you sell residential real estate, you may say that you are in the business of helping people find the place they can call home. So, answer the question, and continue to dig, define, and refine, until you have the essence of what you do. Read more…

Mid-Life Transition Specialist, at your Service!

July 5, 2010

Although I know that the coaching I have to offer could benefit anyone, I also know the value of narrowing my focus to a specific target market.

After giving it a lot of thought, I realized that I am uniquely positioned to help those who are looking for a new direction in life – people who KNOW they are here on this planet to do something special, and who have, up until now, had to be more concerned with making a living for their families than doing what their hearts long to do. It certainly has been MY story, and I know I am not alone. Read more…

Ready or Not, Here I Come…

June 28, 2010

Have you ever noticed how children play? They are so serious in their play, giving it every bit of their attention. When my son got a new action figure, he would spend hours with it, making up stories, having it interact with other action figures, and even drawing it! It became the light of his life for that time.

When I was a child, my best friend and I created a whole line of paper dolls. We made a family, designed all of their clothes, and even made them a house. It was the highlight of our lives for months. We’d rush home from school just so we could work more on our project. Even after we finished them, we’d get together and make up stories with our characters. If they needed a new prop or outfit, we’d make it!

I remember vividly some of the games of my childhood – the big hide-and-seek games we would play where all of the kids in the neighborhood would participate. Read more…

Changing Lives One Card At A Time

June 22, 2010

I have been a user of a product called SendOut Cards for about a year now, and recently I made the decision to also become a distributor. Why did I upgrade my position?

I love SendOut Cards. I love the convenience, the vast selection, and the thoughtfulness that they afford me. I use them for everything – for the usual birthdays, anniversaries, congratulations, etc., and I also use them for thank you notes, for letting someone know I am thinking of them, and more recently, I’ve been spending a lot of time including my own designs and realized that I could make my own line of cards. On top of that, they are made from recycled stock and printed with soy ink. They are environmentally friendly! Read more…
