‘Tis the Season

December 26, 2009

A flurry of holiday activities has kept me from blogging as regularly as usual. I am clergy of a small neo-pagan druid fellowship, and our holiday falls on Winter Solstice, so not only was I preparing for our own celebrations, but I was also participating in the secular activities for family and friends, not to mention retail. Our comic book store has been extremely busy, what with celebrating our first anniversary as well as preparing for the holiday rush. Our holiday sales have been generous and we have some good plans for the future, so that’s encouraging. In addition, my holiday celebrations were all very successful and I am happy to say that the days are now growing longer again; the sun has returned!

Through all of the busy-ness of the season, my coaching has been rather lean. People have cancelled and rescheduled, which is to be expected, but I am already gearing up for the coming month, including a speaking engagement on Empowerment within the next few weeks. This has sparked an idea for a near-future workshop on assisting folks in regaining their personal power. My N’Shama partner, Linda Simpson, and I are busily planning both the talk and the workshop. I am really excited about this as I know it is something that we can all work on more. Our society encourages us to give our power away, and really, we are only at our best and have the most to offer to others when we are in our own personal power.

I am sure you will be hearing much more about this in the days and weeks to come.

In the meantime, have a safe and happy transition into the new year of 2010.
