New Developments
Over the past week, we have taken the opportunities presented to us to be teaching in two new venues come next month. This is very exciting for us, as we are seeing a whole new dimension to Wholistic Prosperity with these new classes.
Although we will still be presenting our current material, we will also be adding a number of classes and workshops on earth-based spirituality and some of the more esoteric applications of applied will and focus. We are confident that even more creative doors will be opening for us as a result of these liaisons.
The first opportunity is to present classes on a regular basis every Friday night at Alpha Books, located on 7th St, just north of Indian School Road in central Phoenix. We are looking at offering a series of classes that will lead to a certificate of completion for the Arizona University of Magic, something that Michael Crowley, a local pagan leader, had started several years ago, and we will continue. As we develop and schedule classes and curriculum, we will be updating our Events page with the information.
The second opportunity comes as a result of a new membership in Chaos of the Earth – the place on 5th St. just south of Roosevelt, where we have been selling comic books on First Friday for the past several months. As members, we can hold classes and even rent space for other kinds of work. I am thinking of opening up an Anam Cara practice (Anam Cara means soul friend) – a sort of spiritual counseling gig, although that may be down the road a bit.
We just scheduled class times in November. We will be presenting How to Be Debt Free on November 13th from 4:00 – 8:00 pm, and food will be available. We are also scheduled from 7:30 – 10:00 pm on the first three Thursday evenings. I will probably do something with earth-based spirituality, including the Wheel of the Year (following the wheel of seasons), polytheism, and some ancient forms of divination.
I believe that we can learn from anything, and that sometimes our best answers come from unlikely sources. These will be yet another way into the journey of the soul, of which we are all travelers, and another way for us to serve. I am grateful.
